In verse 1, The song 'Go Flex' is all about Post Malone's meteoric rise to fame and the song merges many different genres featuring rap and also Posts' acoustic guitar playing.  The line 'Lighting stog after stog, choke on the smoke, they tell me to quit, don't listen what I'm told, help me forget that this world is so cold' the word 'stog' is another word for cigarette and this line explains why he smokes so much, which is to forget all the bad in his life and throughout the world. The Lyric 'I don't even know what I'm chasin' no more, tell me what I want, just keep searchin' on' shows how now that he's achieved what he set out for and all his goals are exceeded he doesn't know what he wants anymore and he's lost direction in his life.

In the chorus/hook, Malone says 'Man I just wanna go flex, gold on my teeth and on my neck' the term flex means to show off and in this line it expresses his want for grills and gold chains to show off his wealth to everyone and show how much he's changed and earned through his hard work. The next line is 'And i'm stone cold with the flex' the word stone refers to diamonds and how having so many of them have made him chilled and cold, as diamonds are commonly referred to as ice. The last line of the hook is 'With my squad and i'm smokin' up a check' this refers to how much weed Malone's smokes and how he wastes almost all his money on it.

At the start of the second verse Post says 'Push the gas, get a motherfuckin' nose bleed' in this context the word gas is another name for marijuana and this line means that he is so high he has a nosebleed, as it's common to get nose-bleeds at a high altitude. Another line from this verse is 'I hit my plug up, got the paper connect, I drop a couple bands I just wanna go' a plug is someone who sources stuff for people, and they usually source either drugs or expensive brand clothing, a band is $1000 so his plug would be connecting him with something expensive and this amount doesn't affect post Malone.

Lastly, in the bridge it says 'Knowing all of this it just don't make a difference' this line is about Post's understanding of how reaching fame is hard due to all the struggles that stand in the way but doesn't intend to let fame and riches change him. The line 'I come with the heat man, I swear I'm never missing, and I'm still the same and I swear I'm never switching' is about Malone being at the top of his game and how he can't slip up or make any mistake and how he never misses his mark.
